OPENING NIGHT SCREENING – A House Is Not a Disco

A House Is Not a Disco documents a year-in-the-life in the world’s most iconic “homo-normative” community: Fire Island Pines. Situated fifty miles from New York City, this storied queer beach town finds itself in the midst of a renaissance as a new generation of Millennial homeowners reimagine The Pines for a new, more inclusive era.

Preceded by the short film One Story at a Time: Celeste Lecesne by Eva Tenuto, Natalia Iyudin

Trevor Project co-founder Celeste Lecesne, Academy Award-winner of the original short film Trevor, candidly shares how he not only escaped the confines of homophobia but combatted it by finding the courage to share his truth with the world.

Join us after the film for the Opening Night Party!

Tickets to the Opening Night Party are available with the purchase of an Opening Night Film + Party ticket or select passes.

It’s that spooky time of the year and we’re going all out to make sure everyone’s howling with delight! Join us for the Opening Night Party celebrating this year’s festival theme, HallowQueen! The party will be held in the Rose Wagner’s Black Box theater from 9pm-11pm, after our Opening Night Film.

Costumes are highly encouraged for the Opening Night Party and the remainder of the Festival.
