A House Is Not a Disco documents a year-in-the-life in the world’s most iconic “homo-normative” community: Fire Island Pines. Situated fifty miles from New York City, this storied queer beach town finds itself in the midst of a renaissance as a new generation of Millennial homeowners reimagine The Pines for a new, more inclusive era.

It’s that spooky time of the year and we’re going all out to make sure everyone’s howling with delight! Join us for the Opening Night Party celebrating this year’s festival theme, HallowQueen! The party will be held in the Rose Wagner’s Black Box theater from 9pm-11pm, after our Opening Night Film.
Costumes are highly encouraged for the Opening Night Party and the remainder of the Festival.
