Mama Doesn’t Want to Go to the Beach

Vera (45) is a transgender woman who resumes her hormonal treatment while her daughter, Inés (12), begins puberty and menstruates for the first time. Mother and daughter experience changes and doubts about their bodies. Inés insistently asks Vera to go to the beach in a school trip, but she refuses because of body self consciousness. The relationship between Vera and Inés is tense until it explodes in a heated argument where Vera tells her daughter how her difficult adolescence. When Inés is humiliated at school, Vera decides to deal with her insecurities with her daughter, and together they finally go to the beach.
