2021 Community Teen Film Reviews

This year, we made a concerted effort to include teen and youth programs in this year’s Festival as a method to reach out to an emerging generation. Through our local community groups, we offered the ability to screen films in advance and review them for us. These selections are their thoughts, feelings, and reactions to those films in their words. Heart to heart, teen to teen.

  • This zine (a magazine, especially a fanzine) was produced by the teens in The City Library’s Alphabet Soup program. They covered selections from our short film program. Alphabet Soup is an inclusive, safe, monthly hangout for LGBTQ+ teens and teen allies.
  • We also received a review of We’re All Going to the World’s Fair from the Pride Center’s Youth & Family Department. They serve youth and young adults ages 0-22 and their parents and caregivers.
  • “The film was very good I love movies like that. My favorite part was the fair view. One of the best movies I have seen.” – 14-year-old youth who watched We’re All Going to the World’s Fair
